NETSCOUT Expands User Forum Summit as Participation Increases

27 Jun 2008

Engage '08 to be held in San Diego October 6-9, 2008

WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2008--NetScout Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTCT), the industry leader in advanced network and application performance management, today announced its newly renamed user forum summit, Engage '08, will be held October 6-9, 2008 on the Island of Coronado, just across the bay from San Diego.

Participation in NetScout's User Forum is on the rise, and attendance at Engage '08 is expected to be nearly double that of 2007 attendance--a result of the 2007 acquisition of Network General as well as heightened demand for in-depth visibility to address mounting network and application performance management challenges.

Engage '08 will feature keynotes by NetScout executives as well as by industry experts. Network World co-founder and CEO John Gallant will moderate a user panel discussion during the event. NetForecast analyst Peter Sevcik will speak on performance management best practices, help attendees understand how they are doing relative to the industry as a whole, and will offer tips for improvement.

This is the seventh annual meeting of NetScout users. Engage '08 attendees will:

  • experience the next evolution of nGenius and Sniffer solutions. This year will include integrated products and solutions from the recent combination of NetScout and Network General. There's more to learn than ever before.
  • take advantage of additional hands-on training. More than 50 training sessions are on the agenda, including hands-on labs for shipping NetScout products and instructor-led tutorials from the Sniffer University curriculum. Participants can recommend a particular breakout session topic or training course during registration (www.netscout.com/engage08) or can make requests by email ([email protected]).
  • participate in focused sessions on key products and technologies. The conference offers the opportunity to engage in discussions with peers on nGenius and Sniffer in action; take advantage of a full program of lecture, roundtable, and hands-on sessions covering product training and best practices; and hear from NetScout representatives about future strategies and directions.

Engage '08 is the place for members of the network monitoring community to connect with NetScout and their peers, said Jim Frey, vice president of marketing at NetScout. Approachability, learning, and engagement have become the signature of this event, and we look forward to the biggest, best user conference yet.
