NETSCOUT Systems Ranks #30 On the 2000 New England Technology Fast 50 List; One of Only Five Companies to Achieve This Distinction Four Years in a Row

WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 14, 2000--NetScout Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTCT), the leading provider of real-time network and application performance management solutions, has been named the 30th fastest-growing technology company in New England. The company was honored for its achievement last night at the Fourth Annual New England Technology Fast 50 awards ceremony, in Danvers, Mass. NetScout Systems has earned a position in the Fast 50 for four years in a row, one of only five companies who have achieved this distinction.

The New England Technology Fast 50 is an annual program that ranks the region's top technology companies based on five year revenue growth, and is co-sponsored by the professional services firms of Deloitte & Touche and Hale and Dorr LLP -- in association with Mass High Tech, the Journal of New England Technology.

To qualify for the 2000 Fast 50 program, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1995 and a minimum of $1 million in operating revenues in 1999; may be public or private; and must be headquartered in the region. To be considered for an award, the company must produce technology, manufacture a technology product, be technologically intensive, use technology in problem solving, or devote a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
