announced availability of enhancements to its core nGenius(TM) real-time
network performance management solution, nGenius Real-Time Monitor(TM). The
new nGenius Real-Time Monitor version 1.3 contains additional features and
advancements in performance and ease-of-use that further demonstrate
NetScout's commitment to innovate and simplify network performance management
for very large, complex network environments.

This latest release expands access to critical traffic information with
support for new Cisco Catalyst switches, decoding for additional protocols,
increased flexibility in manipulating display screens and recorded traffic
data and support for Packet over SONET networks. It complements NetScout's
recently announced probe for Packet over SONET OC3 and OC12 networks.
To increase ease-of-installation, the new solutions automatically perform
checks for nGenius system software revisions and security configuration. The
displays have been enhanced with intuitive highlighting and pointers, which
are particularly important in troubleshooting complex problems. Users also
have a simpler way of navigating among multiple task modules, such as a one-
click drill-down from traffic monitoring to packet analysis.
