NETSCOUT Shares Expertise in Network and Application Performance Management at MPLScon and UTC Telecom

WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 2006--NetScout Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTCT), a leading provider of network and application performance management solutions, today announced featured speaking roles for Michael Szabados, senior vice president of product operations, and Eileen Haggerty, director of solutions marketing, at two prominent industry conferences next week - UTC Telecom, taking place May 21-24 in Tampa, Fla., and MPLScon, May 22-25 in New York City.

Szabados will provide a network and application performance primer within UTC Telecom's "Enterprise IT Tutorial for Critical Infrastructure" on Sunday, May 21st from 1:30-4:30 pm. The primer will demonstrate to utility-company IT professionals how integrated network and application performance management can help ensure availability, optimization and delivery of critical networked business services, including:

  • Protecting IT service quality and improving IT productivity;
  • Monitoring and diagnosing problems before they affect key business services;
  • Analyses of actual utility companies' deployments of performance management, including WAN monitoring.

UTC Telecom's Annual Conference focuses on the security, operation and expansion of communications systems at electric, gas and water utilities, oil and gas exploration companies, pipeline facilities and other critical infrastructure organizations.

Haggerty will present a session on "Managing Network and Application Performance through an MPLS Cloud" at MPLScon on Thursday, May 25th from 1:00-1:30 pm.   • Allowing IT staff the application-layer visibility necessary to troubleshoot degradations and plan capacity changes;
  • Successful performance management case studies in enterprise MPLS environments.
