NETSCOUT Among Select Few Who Make Both ''Fastest Growing'' and ''Most Trustworthy'' Lists

July 23, 2007

Only Network Management Solutions Provider to Capture Positions on Both Audit Integrity's "Top 100 Most Trustworthy Companies" List and Business 2.0's "B2 100" List

WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 23, 2007--NetScout Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTCT), the industry pacesetter for advanced network and service assurance solutions, today acknowledged that it was recently recognized by two top-tier business publications for outstanding business leadership qualities, financial trustworthiness, cutting-edge technology and profitable growth. Only 100 companies made each list, and only four, including NetScout, made both lists. Further, NetScout was the only network management tools vendor to receive the combined accolades.

Recently, Business 2.0 selected NetScout for its "B2 100" list, ranking NetScout as the 34th fastest-growing tech company in America. In describing why NetScout is so "hot," Business 2.0 said, "Cell-phone carriers use its software to monitor network performance and troubleshoot slowdowns. Few rivals can top the amount of data it collects." NetScout was selected from over 2,000 tech companies based on three-year growth in revenue, profit and cashflow and 12-month stock return.

Additionally, Forbes.com covered Audit Integrity's Top 100 report, which identifies the most trustworthy public companies in the US, in terms of accounting transparency and fair dealing to stakeholders in 2006. The Los Angeles-based research firm monitors 8,000 companies through its quantitative Accounting and Governance (AGR(R)) assessment. The report noted that companies with top AGR scores also tend to produce higher returns than their peers, which in 2006 averaged to 33 percent, double the overall market returns. Companies like NetScout, which made the Top 100 list, also met additional criteria indicating best performance in accounting transparency and conservative corporate governance.

"Most companies would consider it a major accomplishment to be nominated for just one of these lists. To be selected for both lists is a truly exceptional honor," said David Sommers, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at NetScout. "This recognition is attributable to NetScout's unwavering pursuit of our goals of delivering innovative solutions rapidly to our customers with the highest levels of service and fairness. NetScout's performance demonstrates that serving customers well and fairly along with transparency and forthrightness with stakeholders delivers high returns."
