NetScout Selected to Provide Service Delivery Management for High-Speed Network that Supports the World's Leading Business Technology Conference
WESTFORD, Mass., Sep 29, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- NetScout(R) Systems, Inc. will showcase the end-to-end management of service delivery as a provider of InteropNet, the specialized, high-speed network that supports exhibitors, conference sessions and attendees of Interop New York, the world's leading business technology event, taking place at the Javits Convention Center from October 3-7, 2011. The nGenius(R) Service Assurance Solution will provide unified views of converged service traffic, including applications, voice, video and multimedia flowing across the InteropNet's multi-tier, multi-location service delivery environment.
The nGenius Service Assurance Solution was chosen by Interop organizers UBM TechWeb to assure the delivery of IP-based services on their highly regarded showcase network. Conference organizers, exhibitors and attendees rely on InteropNet for services ranging from email access to voice, video conferencing and telepresence services. In addition, connectivity is provided to all Interop exhibitors, many of whom rely on the network connection to demonstrate their solution capabilities to customers attending the show.
InteropNet, perhaps the world's largest temporary enterprise-class network, closely resembles a complex enterprise environment. It presents many of the same challenges enterprise IT organizations face every day - including multiple data centers serving a diverse set of users all expecting flawless, always-on access to a wide-range of complex service traffic, bandwidth hungry multimedia applications and a host of different access devices running over wired and wireless connections. This year's InteropNet was constructed using three geographically located data centers in Sunnyvale, California; Denver, Colorado; and Newark, New Jersey. All network traffic to and from the Interop show will flow through New York and traverse one or all of these networks in order to reach the Internet or servers contained within the network.
Visitors at NetScout's booth (#342) will see the nGenius Service Assurance Solution in action in real time, as it provides unified views of converged service traffic at the event. The NetScout deployment will showcase the nGenius Service Assurance Solution's overall range of capabilities and will feature the nGenius Service Delivery Manager, which will provide a network-wide view of real-time service status as well as intelligent early warnings for emerging performance problems across the entire network environment. This year's deployment will have approximately 14 distributed nGenius InfiniStream(R) appliances and will also include several nGenius Integrated Agents for the Cisco(R) Integrated Services Router and nGenius Virtual Agents deployed within VMware servers.
