NetScout and Cisco Commit to Furthering the Center's Mission of Finding Permanent Housing for Homeless; NetScout COO Joins Organization's Board of Directors
WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 7, 2012-- NetScout® Systems, Inc. today announced its support, along with Cisco Systems, of the Lowell Transitional Living Center's first fundraising walk. NetScout and Cisco will provide donations for the Center's Steps to Home initiative in support of the organization's ongoing efforts to provide temporary and permanent housing and other transitional services to the region's homeless. NetScout will also field a team of executives to walk in the event, to be held Sunday, June 10, 2012, in historic downtown Lowell, Massachusetts. In addition, NetScout's Chief Operating Officer, Michael Szabados, has joined the Lowell Transitional Living Center's Board of Directors.
The Lowell Transitional Living Center (LTLC) is one of the region's largest homeless shelters and serves over 1,100 people a year, providing emergency shelter, transitional shelter, an active meals program and a very successful case management program. Over 300 volunteers support its mission and goals. LTLC believes that a consistent, client-driven approach toward self-reliance is the most effective way to end homelessness and focuses all its efforts in helping clients make a positive change in their life.
