NetScout to Participate in the Interoperability Showcase
Demonstration in the TNS Booth at the CCA Conference in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 16, 2013--
NetScout®
Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTCT) today announced that Transaction Network
Services (TNS) has selected the nGenius® Solution from NetScout for
service delivery management and assurance of the TNS multi-service
Roaming Hub. The TNS multi-service Roaming Hub is a next-generation
solution enabling mobile carrier collaboration and expanded wireless
footprints by providing a single point of interconnection for operators
looking to execute roaming agreements with CCA members for LTE and other
mobile services. NetScout is participating in the interoperability demo
of the TNS multi-service Roaming Hub at the Competitive Carrier
Association (CCA) Annual Conference in Las Vegas September 16th
through the 18th in booth #240.
The nGenius Solution is being deployed to assure overall data service
availability, quality and interconnectivity including IPX connectivity,
IPX Service hub and diameter signaling. While the main focus is
supporting TNS’ roll out of mobile carrier LTE roaming services, the
nGenius Solution will also support existing GSM, CDMA and Wi-Fi
capabilities and will enable assurance of inter-carrier SIP signaling,
as well as VoIP user-plane analysis to support VoLTE roaming
services.
TNS offers LTE, GSM and CDMA mobile operators an extensive suite of
services to help navigate infrastructure complexities and deliver
seamless voice and data services across global networks. The TNS
multi-service Roaming Hub enables accelerated roaming through simplified
implementation and reduced operating costs. Participating carriers
benefit from faster rollout of mobile network roaming services by
reducing time required for agreement setup, testing, data provisioning
and signaling/network design with only one agreement and one connection,
instead of many.
“Our partner operators must deliver reliable, high quality roaming
services for their customers, so availability and performance of our
roaming network is a critical requirement,” said Steve Parrott, vice
president, product management and marketing, telecom services at TNS.
“We selected NetScout’s nGenius Solution as the best-in-class IP-focused
service delivery management platform for its completeness, ability to
address LTE and multi-generational mobile networks and its massive scale
capacity to support high volume traffic. The nGenius Solution delivered
consistently in our validation testing and we are pleased to include
NetScout in our interoperability activity at the CCA conference.”
The nGenius Solution enables mobile operators to gain end-to-end
visibility into users and services to proactively manage service quality
over IP networks to address the service delivery challenges resulting
from growing mobile data and multimedia traffic volumes. Analyzing both
data plane and control plane traffic, the nGenius Solution helps reveal
how network, application and service enabler interdependencies impact
overall service performance and the subscriber experience. The
solution’s predictive early warning capabilities help prevent outages by
identifying emerging performance degradations, allowing proactive
recognition, triage and resolution before performance problems can
impact large numbers of subscribers. With an end-to-end reach, mobile
operators can visualize complete subscriber sessions in real-time,
instantly exposing specific areas of the network with poor performance
or service failures. The nGenius Solution tracks and trends all
historical user and traffic activities to provide intelligence through
extensive subscriber and service metrics which help validate service
quality and performance while driving new service innovation and
business decisions.
“NetScout is proud to have been selected by TNS to assure their next
generation multi-service Roaming Hub. We are excited to be deployed in a
multi-service environment providing roaming support for many carriers
over a single converged network,” said Steven Shalita, vice president,
marketing for NetScout. “We look forward to participating in the TNS
interoperability demonstration at CCA, showing an optimized service
delivery environment and intact user experience, which are key benefits
of networks assured by NetScout.”
