WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 2015--
NetScout
Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTCT), today responded to the supposed
“findings” within Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Network Performance
Monitoring and Diagnostics (NPMD) Report, 2015. In August 2014, NetScout
filed a Complaint
against Gartner, Inc. in Connecticut Superior Court, alleging claims
against Gartner under the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act and for
corporate defamation arising out of Gartner’s information technology
research business practices. Since then NetScout has refused to
participate in Gartner's Magic Quadrant process and continues to
vigorously pursue its legal remedies.
Gartner yesterday released another flawed Magic Quadrant report. As part
of its process, Gartner’s December 2014 correspondence to vendors
regarding the Magic Quadrant for NPMD 2015 states that its assessments
take into account the vendors’ current product offerings and overall
strategies, as well as their future initiatives and product road maps.
Gartner admits in its new report that NetScout refused to participate in
the Magic Quadrant survey, which means that Gartner’s new report does
not contain any current information from NetScout about NetScout’s
product offerings and overall strategies or about its future initiatives
and product road maps. Despite this admission and lack of highly
relevant company information, Gartner continues to present itself in a
position of informed authority.
In contrast, other available analyst reports and surveys provide the
highest accolades to NetScout for its technology and industry
leadership. NetScout's being recognized as a Top
Vendor in the Worldwide Network Management Software and Appliance Market
is among the many notable citations, that most recently include a
globally-recognized and leading independent research firm with over 53
years of experience naming NetScout
as the 2015 Global Company of the Year for Network Visibility and
Intelligence. “The global recognition attests to NetScout’s
long-standing industry leadership, technological innovation, and market
share growth,” said Jim McNiel, vice president of worldwide marketing,
NetScout.
