NETSCOUT Engineering Experts Write Update of Technical Book for 4th Generation
of Mobile Computing and Beyond
WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2016--
NETSCOUT SYSTEMS, INC., (NASDAQ: NTCT) today announced two engineering
experts have written LTE Signaling: Troubleshooting and Optimization,
2nd edition, and the published book is
now available in the United States and Europe. Berlin-based authors Ralf
Kreher, principal engineer, and Karsten Gaenger, product line manager,
geolocation, co-wrote both editions of the book.
The book describes the LTE signaling protocols and procedures for the 4th
generation of mobile communications, plus the most crucial key
performance indicators (KPIs) to be measured during field trials and
deployment phase of new LTE networks. Explained down to the bit and byte
level, the authors use real lab and field trial traces and provide
real-life signaling examples to explain normal signaling procedures and
failure causes. Readers will also learn how to optimize the network
during early deployment stages.
Kreher, who has also penned books about UMTS signaling, said: “There is
no book on the market that explains LTE signaling procedure down to the
bit and byte level, like we have done with this book. In particular, the
abnormal network behavior and root cause analysis of problems related to
signaling procedures is not found in any other publication.”
Gaenger added that the book will be beneficial to “engineers with mobile
network operators, network equipment manufacturers, measurement
equipment manufacturers, consulting and training companies and others.
We kept all these audiences in mind when we wrote it, particularly with
our focus on including real-life network examples and explaining how
things really work.”
The book is available through publishers Wiley
and through other major retailers, including Barnes
& Noble and regional Amazon
sites.
NETSCOUT
will exhibit at MWC 2016, Hall 1, stand 1C40, in Barcelona Feb. 22-25.
